Property Invest Blog is for Wouter the culmination of his work as an entrepreneur

combined with his passion for properties and living abroad.

 

Wouter left his home country of Belgium for the first time in 2000 when he went to

study in Berlin. After completing his studies in Brussels in 2002 and graduating with

a degree in translation, he moved back to Berlin and never looked back since. He

started working at a telecoms company in Hamburg about a year later. Between

2005 and 2007 Wouter worked as a freelance translator and language teacher in

Barcelona. London was calling in the summer of 2007 for a new chapter in Wouter’s

life. He worked in PR, marketing, sales and business development for two different

organizations before taking up a very exciting opportunity at a YouTube channel

management company.

 

This last role led Wouter to start his first business, a translation business called

DubCrowd. To further enhance his business skills, Wouter completed his MBA from

London Business School (LBS) in 2021. A new business saw the light of day, Lotus

Mother, which became part of the LBS Incubator programme until July 2023.

In those two decades, Wouter regularly took time off to spend lengthy times abroad.

He travelled to North and South America, spent several months in Australia and New

Zealand, toured around Europe for one of his jobs, and worked from Hong Kong and

China for several months every other year.

 

Learning about other countries, including learning new languages, has been

Wouter’s number one passion for more than two decades. During that time, he has

been active in the property rental and sales markets in London and has managed

property projects in Hong Kong, China and Southern Europe.

 

With Property Invest Blog, Wouter wants to use his expertise in website creation to

give his readers the best possible reading and learning experience. He is planning to

cover 100+ locations across the globe. The blog posts cover, amongst others, the

advantages of buying property in a certain location, what type of property you can

expect to find and what steps are required to take to buy property in that country.
